  • Bridgepoint's Answer
    GREEN BALANCE

Bridgepoint Systems introduces Green Balance, a line of carpet cleaning products that are truly better for the indoor and outdoor environment as well as cleaning technicians.  The Green Balance line will also accomplish the most important task of all - cleaning dirty residential carpets!

All Green Balance products use rapidly biodegradable, renewable surfactants and contain no solvents of any kind.  They contain no known carcinogens, are non-toxic and are ideal for cleaning in homes with chemical sensitivities because they contain no added fragrances or dyes.

Bridgepoint insisted that ingredient suppliers could back up their green claims with solid science.  They then tested for cleaning effectiveness in their own laboratory and in field testing.

But they didn’t stop there!  Formulas were then submitted to a leading independent testing laboratory to scientifically measure the level of actual soil removal and to ensure that the products did not contribute to rapid resoiling - earning them the Carpet & Rug Institute’s Seal of Approval.

The result?  Green cleaning solutions that have the best presently available science backing them up!  Are Green Balance products for filthy restaurants?  Of course not.  But they are perfect for cleaning even the dirtiest residential carpets leaving them looking, feeling and performing at their very best!

    "Green Cleaning-Part 2"

It does not take a whole lot of education to realize this concept of "green cleaning" is more complex than just switching ingredients in a chemical.  There are all kinds of cleaning product "certification programs" out there for "green" chemicals.  However, there is no program that takes into account all eight (see previous article) of these dynamics.  Many of the rules and standards within these programs actually conflict with each other.  There are systems which evaluate the cleaning procedures as part of the "green cleaning" process that do not measure in any way whether the procedures and chemistry actually work!

Cleaning green puts just as much emphasis upon the process, the procedures, the overall dedication of the cleaning technicians, and the cleaning company as it does on the cleaning solution itself.  To market green cleaning any other way to the consumer is only going to contribute to a huge potential of "false security."  As Dr. Michael Berry has stated, " Doing the right thing also needs to become doing the rational thing."

So, if your company decides to market and offer this to your cleaning customers, consider the idea of marketing "cleaning green" rather than just "green cleaning."  You'll be more truthful in your approach and educating the customer at the same time.  With Bridgepoint Green Balance Carpet Cleaning Chemicals, and the cleaning green process principles that go along with them, you'll have everything you need.

The best part is that you can rest assured these cleaning solutions actually work.  Not just because we said so in a magazine ad.  They have been independently tested for cleaning effectiveness.  They have been independently tested to make sure they have no negative impact upon the construction or texture of the carpet.  They have been independently verified to ensure they are not excessively alkaline in nature.  And they have been tested independently to make sure they keep the surface cleaner longer by not contributing to rapid re-soiling.  They contain renewable surfactants that are rapidly biodegradable.  Perhaps best of all, they contain no solvents whatsoever.

The concept of using and marketing cleaning solutions that are "environmentally preferable" is certainly not an entirely new one.  However, you can rest assured that "green cleaning" is here to stay this time.  Whatever you think about the politics of green, the economic drive to switch to renewable resources is overwhelming.

We have been researching the effectiveness of selling "green" to consumers in many different industries.  Does Mrs. Jones' stated desire to buy "green" products carry over into the local home improvement center, Wal-Mart, or grocery store?  Does marketing green reach out to the high end clientele most cleaning companies seek?
